Join us on Saturday 1 March for a Ten Years Of Monologues Records party, featuring the new Monologues Sound System! This new space in the crypt of the stunning Sir John Soane-designed St. Peter’s Church in Walworth is where we’ll be setting up the gorgeous hand-made sound system I recently became the custodian of. We’ll be hosting a series of FREE Saturday afternoon/evening parties with a diverse cast of London crews, aiming to provide a community-driven space with quality sound where people can dance and express themselves without worrying about high ticket prices and expensive Ubers home. It’s 15 minutes walk from Elephant & Castle or Kennington stations, the parties will run from 5PM ’til midnight and are entry via sign-up / guestlist only. The Saint Louie team will be baking giant tray pizzas, there’ll be drinks from local breweries and some of our favourite DJs putting the system through its paces. I’m so excited to help build a space for the right reasons with the team there and I hope you’ll come and be a part of it. We kick off with this party celebrating a decade of my label following our Room 3 takeover at fabric, and I’m very happy to be joined by Giles Smith – a long-time inspiration – the lovely Gallegos – who will be featuring on one of our celebratory VAs this year – selector supreme Carly Foxx – who provided vocals on my album track ‘Fo’ Sho’ – and Loz Wild and Si Domone, two great DJs I grew up with in Cambridge (OG prog crew) who led me to this sound system in the first place.
